MIES realizó el lanzamiento oficial del programa Inclusión sin Barreras

El Ministerio de Inclusión Económica y Social (MIES) realizó hoy el lanzamiento oficial, a escala nacional, de su programa Inclusión sin Barreras, en el Centro de Convenciones de El Carmen, en Manabí. A través de esta iniciativa se fomentará el derecho a la inclusión social y económica de las personas con discapacidad.

En este marco, se llevó a cabo Ciudad Inclusiva Móvil, donde la población conoció de cerca los servicios que ofrece este Ministerio para los grupos vulnerables y prioritarios, en un espacio de convivencia pacífica, inclusión y equidad. Además, con el apoyo del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP), se entregaron ayudas técnicas a usuarios de los servicios MIES.

El ministro Esteban Bernal aseguró que con el programa Inclusión sin Barreras “se promueven servicios con la corresponsabilidad de las familias, cuidadores y ciudadanos para promover los derechos, autonomía y relaciones positivas en el entorno familiar y comunidad”.

Esta cartera de Estado, por medio de su política de protección y promoción social, impulsa el desarrollo integral, fomento de la autonomía e independencia y goce efectivo de los derechos de las personas con discapacidad.

Rosa Vera, madre de un joven con discapacidad y usuaria del Bono Joaquín Gallegos Lara, aseguró: “Todas las familias con personas con discapacidad estamos día a día palpando ese trabajo solidario del Gobierno del Ecuador y del MIES para tener un mejor presente y futuro”.

Por su parte, Jeimy Hernández, subsecretaria de Discapacidades, dijo: “Brindamos una atención orientada en la eliminación de todo tipo de barreras que impidan la participación activa y efectiva de las personas con discapacidad en la sociedad”.

En el evento también participó Edy Quizhpe, director nacional de Discapacidades del MSP, quien indicó que el trabajo conjunto y articulado con el MIES permite generar una verdadera protección integral desde el Estado para las personas con discapacidad.

En todo el país, el Gobierno del Ecuador, por medio del MIES, llega con servicios, bonos y pensiones a más de 161 mil personas con discapacidad a través de una inversión que supera los USD 238 millones. En cambio, en Manabí atiende a más de 22 mil usuarios con discapacidad, con un presupuesto de USD 32.9 millones.
