Alcaldía de Cuenca implementa proyecto “Cuenca Libre de Baches”

Cuenca, 30 de mayo de 2023

Con la finalidad de mejorar la movilidad de los cuencanos, el alcalde de Cuenca, Cristian Zamora, dispuso que a través de la Dirección de Obras Públicas, exista una cuadrilla permanente para el mantenimiento de las calles y avenidas de la ciudad que estén en mal estado. De esta manera se implementa el proyecto “Cuenca Libre de Baches”.

Se cristaliza este proyecto que está dentro de las 101 propuestas de campaña del Alcalde. El Director de Obras Públicas, José Patiño, informó que todos los días se reciben por diferentes canales comunicacionales, como es el sistema Mi Voz, redes sociales y medios de comunicación, peticiones ciudadanas que solicitan arreglar calles en mal estado. Es por esto que en tiempo límite se hace realidad esta propuesta.

Entre las arterias intervenidas en estos 15 días están Av. 24 de Mayo entre calle Rayoloma y redondel de la calle Max Uhle, calle Cantón Gualaceo, Cantón Paute, calle Los Álamos, Jacaranda, Av. Remigio Crespo y Cañar, La Condamine, Av. General Escandón y Av. Pumapungo.

Alexandra Gonzáles, encargada de los trabajos en la Av. Pumapungo, comentó que la obra inició a las 08:00 de este martes, la cuadrilla de obreros empezó las labores de señalización de la vía, posteriormente con la máquina fresadora fueron retirando el material deteriorado, que ya presentaba fisuras.

Para González el deterioro de las calles obedece principalmente a que cumplen su vida útil, además de las constantes lluvias y el alto tráfico que afecta el pavimento.

El compromiso de la administración 2023-2027 es atender en el menor tiempo las peticiones de los ciudadanos. El Director de Obras Públicas hizo hincapié que se está interviniendo calles que los ciudadanos habían pedido por meses y en otros casos hasta por años.

Con el propósito de agilitar la atención de los requerimientos, se prevé adquirir un nuevo equipo de características pequeñas, para atenciones emergentes en los diferentes sitios de la ciudad.

Patiño, precisó que con la finalidad de no interrumpir el tránsito de los vehículos, se interviene por tramos, y de esta manera pueden continuar parcialmente la circulación, en los casos que amerita cerrar la vía se anunciará, o de lo contrario, se laborará en horas de la noche y madrugada, como fue el caso de la calle La Condamine.

La propuesta “Cuenca libre de baches” se ejecuta con ingenieros y arquitectos de obras públicas, quienes dirigen los trabajos que realizan la cuadrillas de obreros, además utilizan el equipo caminero de la Municipalidad y el asfalto de la planta de Guangarcucho, que está operando al cien por ciento.
