CONSEJO DE LA JUDICATURA CONDENA LOS ACTOS DE INTIMIDACIÓN CONTRA LA FUNCIÓN JUDICIAL

El Consejo de la Judicatura condena enérgicamente los actos de intimidación ocurridos este 11 de mayo de 2023, en las provincias de Pichincha, Manabí e Imbabura donde se registraron amenazas de bomba en el edificio matriz de la institución en Quito, así como en los edificios de las Direcciones Provinciales ubicados en Ibarra y Portoviejo.

Estos actos de intimidación son inaceptables en una sociedad democrática y representan un ataque directo a la independencia judicial y al Estado de Derecho.

Como institución comprometida con la promoción y defensa de los valores democráticos demandamos del Gobierno seguridad para los usuarios del sistema de justicia y para los servidores judiciales.

La Función Judicial es un elemento clave para el desarrollo de la sociedad ya que es la encargada de garantizar que se cumplan las leyes, así como de proteger los derechos y libertades fundamentales de todos los ciudadanos.

Hacemos un llamado a las autoridades competentes para que investiguen estos actos y se tomen medidas efectivas para garantizar la independencia judicial.
