200 familias de Azuay ya tienen estabilidad sobre sus terrenos
Azuay, 07 de junio de 2022.- Doscientos títulos de propiedad de tierras entregó el Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería (MAG) a beneficiarios de los cantones Paute, Guachapala, El Pan, Sevilla de Oro, Chordeleg, Gualaceo y Cuenca, de la provincia del Azuay.
Ahora son 1.921 títulos de propiedad de tierras rurales los entregados en Azuay durante el Gobierno del presidente Guillermo Lasso. Esto les garantiza un patrimonio para su familia y les da estabilidad jurídica sobre la tenencia de los terrenos, donde siembran maíz, fréjol, papas, tomate de árbol, hortalizas, y otros productos.
“Con este documento ahora sí me siento dueño; esto nos ayuda para progresar y obtener un crédito que antes no podíamos porque no teníamos la legalidad de ser propietarios”, dijo Lauro Efraín Cabrera, productor del cantón Chordeleg.
Pablo Weber, viceministro de Desarrollo Rural, afirmó que “el título de propiedad de tierras les ayudará a cambiar su vida. Podrán solicitar créditos para comprar semillas de mejor calidad, para aumentar la producción. Podrán comprar herramientas para mejorar las labores agrícolas. Lograrán, incluso, adquirir algún transporte para llevar sus productos directamente a los mercados”. Les invitó a asociarse y a trabajar unidos.
Weber destacó la importancia de legalizar los predios rurales en el país, ya que alrededor del 30 % de la población económicamente se dedica a la agricultura. En este Gobierno, más de 16.300 títulos se han legalizado a nivel nacional.
La entrega de los títulos la realizó Pablo Weber, viceministro de Desarrollo Rural del MAG, junto a Walter Reyes, director Ejecutivo del Instituto Nacional de investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIAP); y Matías Abad, gobernador del Azuay.
Además, durante su agenda en la provincia de Azuay el Viceministro de Desarrollo Rural del MAG participó de la inauguración de la Feria por el Día Mundial de la Inocuidad de los Alimentos. Allí habló de la necesidad de cultivar productos inocuos inofensivos para la salud.
También, entregó certificados de Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas a productores de Azuay, para que hagan una producción de calidad. Trece productores se graduaron en Comunidades de Aprendizaje, donde aprendieron a hacer una producción agrícola limpia, sin químicos y respetuosa con el ambiente.
