Daniel Walsh, de 30 años, fue sentenciado a pasar el resto de su vida en prisión después de ser declarado culpable por el asesinato de su tío, Graham Shell, de 71 años, a quien mató para robar su dinero y luego desmembró su cuerpo que terminó dando como alimento a unos tejones (mamífero similar al mapache).
Los hechos sucedieron en Chesterfield, Inglaterra, en junio de 2019 y se desencadenaron después de que Walsh tomara conciencia de que su tío lo había denunciado ante la policía por haberle estado robando dinero de su cuenta bancaria.
No era la primera vez que sucedían cosas similares, por robar unas 5 mil libras esterlinas a su tío, Walsh ya había recibido una sanción en 2009 y en 2014 otra más por agredirlo dándole puñetazos en la cabeza.
Luego, el asesino ‘se alejó del horror’ al darse un atracón de alcohol y drogas con el dinero robado, visitar casinos y salas de juegos en Matlock, Derbyshire, y salones de masajes en Sheffield (Inglaterra).
La policía capturó a Walsh 10 días después, tras los informes de los vecinos que dijeron no haber visto al señor Shell durante largo tiempo.
La cabeza y los brazos de Snell fueron descubiertos en febrero de este año después de que Walsh marcara su ubicación en un mapa para los oficiales.
