En sesión ordinaria el Pleno del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), este jueves 28 de julio de 2022, designó a los vocales de la Junta Provincial Electoral de Azuay, autoridades que estarán al frente en las Elecciones Seccionales y de miembros del Consejo de Participación Ciudadana y Control Social (CPCCS) 2023.
De acuerdo al artículo 25 numeral 4 del Código de la Democracia, por unanimidad los cinco consejeros del CNE designaron a: Mario Paul Prado Molina, María Alejandra Garófalo Maldonado, Lilia Elizabeth Quezada Bernal, Diego Gerardo Cedillo Auquilla y Martha Gladys Brito Sarmiento, como vocales de la Junta Provincial Electoral del Azuay.
Las funciones de las nuevas autoridades electorales temporales serán la designación de los Miembros de las Juntas Receptoras del Voto, la calificación de los candidatos y candidatas a las Elecciones Seccionales y la proclamación de los resultados electorales.
Luego de la designación, se inicia la etapa de impugnación a sus nombramientos. Superada esta fase, las autoridades electorales iniciarán funciones desde el 1 de agosto de 2022.
